Brewer Dany de Smet and his wife Marleen hit on their recipe while trying to get their newborn son, Jonas to sleep one night. Dany gave the lad a short lick of a finger dipped in one of his homemade brews, and presto... Jonas was out like a light. At that moment, Slaapmutske, Flemish for nightcap, was born.
